I really love the drawing, though. I usually draw first and then add whatever words come to me afterward. What’s being said matters, of course—but so does who’s saying it. This kid is still a child, so in that sense they’re a bit too mature for their age. 　 「前に一歩踏み出すにはエネルギーがいるから花も咲く」みたいなイメージで書いてる。 どちらの足も咲いてたらもうそれは一歩じゃなくて二歩目進んだってことだから。 何をやってても一歩目はリスクの割には楽しくないよね。 だから二歩目でやっと「fun」が浮かんでくる。 明るい絵だよ。 I’m writing it with an image like: it takes energy to take that first step forward, and that’s why flowers bloom.
